Overral the hostel was fine, location was great. We had a few issues in our stay, the aircon of our room wasn't working, and we asked the staff to turn it on 3 times. Also the kitchen wasn't clean enough, the cooking basics were old and greasy.

Very tidy, and pretty much didn't hear a peep from the other guests, however, the traffic noise carries in clearly. Not sure if this is just me (live in a small town with very little traffic), or if others find it loud as well. Also, as cigarette smokey smell wafting around the lounge and the bedroom. Very friendly staff, great location! Good showers, hot water and good water pressure.

Finding parking was the biggest problem. Also it would be nice if there was a vending machine to buy small milk tubs and sugar cubes .. basically enough quantity to make one coffee in the morning... just a suggestion to make things even better. Really loved the stay. Thank you everyone at YHA

Amazing view of trees and easy access to beam scooters. The receptionist was friendly and attentive, the facilities were clean and so was bedding, showers had great pressure and the elevator made it easy to take luggage and shopping up and down from the room. There was also easy access for drivers dropping off Uber eats and the location of the YHA is right around the corner from a huge shopping mall. There was also many power points in the room for multiple devices. Will definitely stay again.

A little disappointing.... No TV room/lounge, no swimming pool. With a lot of covid sanctions lifted, the TV room should have been available (even if we had to wear masks...). After complaining twice about the price paid , i was given a partial refund. When i checked the price of a single room earlier on i was flabbergasted with the response: $244.00 for 1 night!! Most expensive YH I've been to. However the 4 beds dorms sleeping only 2 was very much appreciated & bed comfortable.

YHA believes that you should be given a true picture of what other guests have to say about our hostels. That’s why when you give us your email address, you will be invited to rate your hostel stay upon checkout.

We review these ratings daily, and publish any comments whether they are good or bad. However, there are a few instances where we will not publish comments online:

INAPPROPRIATE OR OFFENSIVE COMMENTS

We will not publish inappropriate and/or offensive comments.

Inappropriate or offensive comments include, but are not limited to, personal harassment or discrediting of YHA staff, hate speech, sexually explicit language, swearing or references to illicit drug usage.

UNSUBSTANTIATED OR INCORRECT CLAIMS

We will not publish any comments that are not directly related to the hostel, or your experience during your stay.

Hostels will have the right to have negative comments removed if they can prove that claims are unsubstantiated, incorrect or you did not stay at the hostel that you are commenting on.

COMMENTS INCLUDING STAFF NAMES

We will not publish comments that include full staff names, irrespective of whether your comment is positive or negative.

First names of staff will be published in positive comments only.

If you make a negative comment, we will remove any reference to particular staff members.

CHANGED CIRCUMSTANCES IN HOSTELS

If there have been any major changes such as major hostel renovations, new management/owners, and we believe the previous ratings are no longer relevant, YHA will remove all submissions and the rating calculations will commence from zero.
